Felt Bird
common questions:
Q: Would you sell the bird or do commissions?
A: YES. Contact me to chat.
Q: How long did it take you?
A: Each one gets progressively more complex. The first couple took 40-50 hours. The felt bird probably took 300-400 hours.
Q: Where can I see more videos of the process?
A: My instagram.
Q: Where’d you get the felt?
A: Oxford Pennant has been an amazing partner and hooked me up with scrap felt.
Q: What do you use to cut the felt?
A: Cricut Maker 3.0
Q: Where did you get the patterns?
A: The bird was all me. I drew it all up in Adobe Illustrator.
As for flowers, I designed many based on flowers in my front yard.
I also pulled from the books 101 Beautiful Felt Flowers and Felt Flower Workshop, learned a lot from youtube channel The Hardwood Forest and FumikaSaku, and dissected a few flowers from Etsy shops In Bloom Felt Studio, May Darlings and Emmie’s Felt Stand.
